What’s the difference between Klepki Lashes and synthetic lashes?
There are 2 significant differences between Klepki Lashes (mink) and synthetic lashes.
1. The Hair. Mink fur naturally mimics natural human lashes, in the sense, they are wispy, thin and taper at the ends. Mink is also feather-light. It is usually very difficult to mimic this in synthetic lashes, resulting in bulky, heavy, blunt lashes that do not look natural.
2. Price/Durability. Whilst initially Klepki Lashes seem more expensive initially, they are actually cheaper than traditional synthetic lashes.
You can wear you Klepki Lashes multiple times, they are very reusable (though how long they last depend on how well you take care of them! See our care information below) and can last 20+ wears. Synthetic lashes cannot be reused more than a few times.
On average, you’ll buy a pair of synthetic lashes for around $10.99 and use them 2 times, averaging at $5.50 a wear.
Our Luxury Mink Lash range costs on average $27 a pair and can be worn 20 times, averaging at $1.35.
The higher quality simply means they are far more reusable.
How do I apply my Klepki Lashes?
Each of our orders comes with a small instructional card that details how to apply your beautiful new lashes.
Whilst learning how to apply, it may be best to buy some cheap synthetic lashes and practise! Youtube tutorials are great if you’re new to applying lashes.
You’ll find it easier to apply our mink lashes than synthetic lashes, our cotton band is extremely flexible and will fit your eye perfectly once you cut them down to size!
How do I remove my Klepki Lashes?
Use a cotton tip (Q-Tip) dipped in some makeup remover, gently run it across the band to dissolve any glue, and then carefully lift away your lashes with either your fingers or tweezers. Do not use any makeup removers that contain oil or alcohol, as this can disintegrate the glue that is in the lash band, eventually causing the mink fur to fall out.
How do I care for my Klepki Lashes?
After removing your lashes, store them in their original box. This will help them retain the shape/style when you are not wearing them, and will also ensure they are dust-free. Make sure there isn’t any residual eyelash glue after removing them.
Do I have to trim my Klepki Lashes?
Usually, yes! To determine how much you need to trim, place the lash above your lash line and see if it’s longer than your lash line. We recommend making the lash ever so slightly shorter than your natural lash line to avoid irritation and lifting in the inner corner of your eyes. Make sure you only trim small sections at a time to avoid making them too short!
Which glue should I use with my Klepki Lashes?
We recommend using any glue you are comfortable with.
If you aren’t allergic to latex, we recommend DUO Lash Adhesive, as it’s waterproof and renowned by professionals worldwide.
If you are allergic to latex, use a latex free glue. These can be found in any drugstore/online.
We are currently working on our own latex free adhesive - stay tuned!
Should I apply mascara before or after applying Klepki Lashes?
We recommend using mascara before your lashes, as mascara will reduce the longevity of your Klepki Lashes.
Can I sleep with my Klepki Lashes on?
Please do not sleep with any lashes on! Makeup sure to remove your eye makeup and lashes before bed but at the very least your eyelashes! You may damage your Klepki Lashes or your natural lashes if you sleep with them on.
