Melt Care

Soy wax melts are an excellent alternative to candles for home fragrance. Melts are used in an oil burner instead of oil and water to release amazing fragrances in your home.

If you haven't used soy melts before, please read these tips on how to use your melts:

  1. Ensure your burner is placed on a safe, stable and fire proof surface away from anything flammable, drafts and kept out of reach of children & pets.
  2. Separate a bar of wax from your pack and place in the top of your dry oil burner - do not add anything else to the melts. Depending on the size of your oil burner you may want to place 1 or 2 bars of wax in the dish. Close your melt back to preserve your fragrance for as long as possible.
  3. Light a tea light candle under the base of the burner and allow your melt to do it's thing.
  4. Never leave a lit candle unattended, including the tea light candle for your burner.
  5. After extinguishing the flame, your melt will solidify and be ready to be melted again. When it's solidified, you can usually pop the wax melt out of the dish. You can place the burner in the freezer for a few minutes and it should pop out without a problem.
  6. Your melts will last approx. 10-15 hours per bar/block, but this entirely depends on your burner and how hot it gets. As a rule of thumb, the hotter your burner is the more fragrance will be released and therefore a shorter lifespan.
